Prof. Anke Weidenkaff, Head of the and of the Division of Materials and Resources, was elected as one of 39 new members of acatech – National Academy of Science and Engineering. Fraunhofer Research Institution for Materials Recycling and Resource Strategies IWKS
Weidenkaff's election is a further recognition and honor of her excellent research on socially highly relevant issues. In January 2023, she has already been appointed a member of the Leopoldina, the German National Academy of Sciences. Since 2020, Weidenkaff is a member of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU).
